The Jam

The Jam were an English punk/mod revival band active from 1972 to 1982. The band consisted of Paul Weller (vocals, guitar), Bruce Foxton (bass, vocals), and Rick Buckler (drums). The Jam were part of the punk rock movement in the United Kingdom and were known for their energetic live performances and politically charged lyrics. They blended elements of punk, ska, and soul music to create a unique sound that helped define the genre. Some of their most famous songs include "A Town Called Malice," "Going Underground," and "That's Entertainment." The Jam released six studio albums, all of which were commercially successful, and they have been cited as an influence by many later bands. Although the group disbanded in 1982, their music continues to be popular and is considered some of the best of the punk/mod revival movement.
