Part time job in the recordsale archive

We offer permanent 20-25 hour positions as catalogers in our archive for 12.50€/h. The working time is divided into 4-5 days of 5 hours each. Unfortunately, the job is not suitable as a full-time position.

In addition to a solid general knowledge of music and a good command of English, the ability to work routinely and efficiently on the computer is a prerequisite. Experience with vinyl is desirable, but not a must.

What does a cataloger do at recordsale?

A cataloger grades and records other mediums in our database.

The condition of the recordings is graded according to Goldmine grading standard. This works with different methods, depending on whether it is a CD, DJ vinyl or historical pressings.

For cheap records and CDs a visual assessment is sufficient, for expensive records the acoustic quality has to be checked. Various scans are made of particularly old or valuable vinyl records. The pressing of the record is determined on the basis of circumstantial evidence. Subsequently, the records are assigned to an appropriate music category and made available to our warehouse.

In order to be able to apply all procedures professionally, to further develop the competence of our team and thus to fulfill our promise of quality, we continuously train our team.

Working hours

The day is divided into two shifts, 8:30 am - 1:30 pm and 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm. The employee must choose between early and late shift. Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to change shifts by the day.

We work with a time recording system, which makes it possible to work more or less sometimes. In addition to the statutory minimum leave, unpaid leave is also possible by arrangement. This makes part-time work in our archive particularly suitable for students and all those who are pursuing other freelance projects on the side.
